Our ceramics classes are designed for all abilities; our half-day and one-day tasters are perfect for those who want to spend a morning or afternoon trying something new and getting a taste of making with clay. Our 6-week courses are great for those who want to learn a bit more about ceramics and try out different techniques. Our 12-week courses offer the time and space for you to delve deep into multiple techniques and explore this art form at your own pace.

Half-Day Throwing Taster Workshops

These 3 hour ceramics taster workshops give you the opportunity to have a go at throwing on the potters wheel. You'll be guided by an experienced teacher on how to throw, forming a lump of clay into a vessel. Your works will be fired and glazed in-house, ready for you to collect a few weeks later.

These 3 hour ceramics taster workshops give you the opportunity to have a go at making something with clay. You'll be guided by an experienced teacher on how to pinch clay into a cup or bowl and how to coil a small bud vase. These will be fired and glazed in-house, ready for you to collect a few weeks later.

1 Day Ceramics Taster Workshop

These 6 hour ceramics taster workshops offer you the opportunity to have a taste of making ceramics. You'll be guided through by an experienced teacher on how to pinch clay into a cup or bowl and how to coil a small bud vase. You'll also learn how to roll a slab of clay and turn this into a plate or dish with the chance to decorate. Your works will then be glazed and fired in-house ready for you to collect a few weeks later.

6 Week Ceramics Taster Courses

This ceramics taster course will offer you the chance to learn how to use clay to make ceramic works over six sessions. You'll have an introduction to ceramics guided by an expert teacher through learning several techniques such as, pinching, coiling, slab building, throwing, turning and glazing. This will cover both hand-building and throwing.

These ceramics courses give you the time and space to delve deep into ceramics and learn several techniques over twelve sessions, guided by an expert teacher. You'll learn pinching, coiling, slab building, wedging, throwing, turning, surface decoration and glazing, as well as having time to work on personal projects. These are great for those who have had a taste but would like more time to fully understand the process and develop their skills.

One-to-One Private Sessions

These private sessions offer you the chance to learn in a one-to-one setting with just you and the teacher. Here you'll be able to learn at your own pace and be guided every step of the way. Perfect if you prefer a slower pace or would like to dedicate more time to learning, either as a beginner or someone more experienced wanting to learn a new technique.
